At Goldington Academy, we firmly believe that academic success comes from three things: good teaching, support from home and independent learning. In order to support your child’s learning, we will be holding a number of assemblies to help them to establish good revision habits and to demonstrate effective, proven methods of embedding knowledge. We would also like to recommend revision books that will help your child with their independent study. Attached to this letter is a list of resources that we recommend for that purpose. It is not necessary for your child to have every single resource listed here. Please sift through and decide with your child which ones you think will be most useful. Once you have made your decision, please indicate which books you would like us to order on your behalf and return to school. Please note the prices listed here are current prices, which can fluctuate, so we will invoice you once the books are in our possession. Please return all orders to Student Services by Friday 7 May at the latest. It is also important to us that your child is not disadvantaged because you may be finding it challenging to take on this additional cost at the moment.
